About Us

Pane Books was established in 2025 as an imprint of Pane Publishing Company, LLC. Both are endorsed by the Texas Veterans Commission as Texas Veteran-Owned Businesses. TVC is the state’s sole authority on verification of a business owner’s status and character of uniformed service, and we are proud to display the Texas Veteran-Owned Business logo so our authors and dedicated readers can trust in the integrity and tenacity by which every aspect of Pane Publishing Company, LLC and its subsidiaries were founded. Though the industry is tumultuous, you have our word; these qualities will remain a steady line for you to hold on to.

A little on our name.

“Why Pane Books?”

Mary Ann Hargraves is the answer, our founder’s grandmother. He called her GrandMary.

When he was young, maybe five years old, she took him to the post office and had him buy a book of stamps. She told him, “There’s power in written word, Aaron, especially in a letter, and you’ll need stamps to share that with others.”

He’s been writing letters ever since. In fact, there are stamps in his wallet right now. If you’re imagining him folding a letter at this very moment, slipping a pane of stamps from his wallet, and addressing the envelope to some new or old correspondence, you’re probably right.

Mary Ann Hargraves was an exceptional lady. A genuine talent and an amazing person. She was a Christian, special needs educator, history buff, pianist, organist, soprano operatic singer, the first female mayor of Rose City, Texas, avid reader, lifelong learner and, of course, a letter writer. In our founder’s words, “I have every letter she wrote to me, and I can still hear her voice when I read them. It’s like she’s still with me. I suppose she is.”

Generosity

We are proud to partner with The Literature of War Foundation. They were founded to get relevant, quality literature into the hands of our nation’s troops, both active duty and reserve. They facilitate free programming for those men and women who are currently serving in uniform and aim to foster an intellectually stimulating environment within the ranks by supporting free book clubs so that our men and women in uniform are better prepared to serve their country.

If you would like to support our nation’s servicemen and women in a similar way, there are two options:

You can make a direct, monetary donation to The Literature of War Foundation on their website here.

The Literature of War Foundation is an all-volunteer, tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c)(3).

OR,

You can purchase copies of our titles here, and we will take care of the rest.

Small quantity donations are most welcome, so whether you want to donate 1 copy, 25, or 100, we will prepare the books and ship them to the troops in direct partnership with Lit of War.

We will hold them until the necessary quantity is collected and send them to the sponsored unit at that time. And we will always notify you when your donation ships and to which unit it is headed.

If you have a particular unit you would like to sponsor, please let us know by completing the contact form here and select ‘Sponsor a Military Book Club’ in the drop down.

For generosity a little closer to home, we have gift cards and personalization options for the books in our catalogue.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions via our contact form.
